What nationalities and ages are average for IHF volunteers?
The majority of our overseas volunteers are from the US, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe, with a handful of individuals from Asian and African countries, and are most commonly in the 18-30 range although we have also had many older volunteers over 40. Our at-home volunteers tend to be older professionals, with many throughout the west as well as a great number throughout Africa and Asia. Most overseas volunteers come for an average of one month at a time, although many have stayed significantly longer.
