What must a student do in New Horizons School?
The student’s responsibility is to actively participate and learn to the best of their ability. The programs of New Horizons allow for greater flexibility and individualized program planning as identified by the teacher or agreed to by the parents and teacher. We will develop an IPP for each student outlining specific goals and methodologies in reaching these goals. A strength of our school is by recognizing the traits and learning styles of each individual student early, our teachers are able to adapt or develop a particular curriculum based program for the student. It is not uncommon for our teachers to be administering multiple math, spelling, or language arts streams within the classroom at the same time.
