When a Plan Sponsor receives its Early Retiree List Response File, the Plan Sponsor must review and process the information as soon as possible. If the Early Retiree List Response File is returned with an early retiree record with a reason code other than zero, a Plan Sponsor must research the data elements in the early retiree record with the corresponding reason code.
