What multimedia equipment is available (scanners, projectors, conferencing, video cameras, digital cameras, CD/DVD burners, and software)?
There are a variety of multimedia devices and software available for use in the CS Department. Here is a summary of the available equipment. • Scanner – A scanner with an automatic sheet feeder is available hooked to the Windows PC named blindcat in LH428. See the Scanner FAQ for details. • LCD Projectors – There are multiple LCD projectors available for checkout in the CS main office (LH215). • Conferencing – There is a Polycom SoundStation for teleconferencing and a Polycom ViewStation for video conferencing available for checkout in the CS main office (LH215). • Digital Video Camera – There is a Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG65 available for checkout in the CS main office (LH215). This camera records to SD memory cards in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format. • 8mm Video Camera – There is a Hitachi E545LA 8mm video camera available for checkout in the CS main office (LH215). Unless you really need the higher video quality and zoom offered by this camera you will probably want to use the Sanyo digital video
