What mulch products does MEC offer?
A. MEC offers two high quality mulch products. Lincolnshire Organic Mulch – is used for aesthetic purposes, but also provides many plant benefits. It reduces weeds, conserves water and moderates soil temperatures. This is a natural wood and bark mulch (100% recycled content) that has been finely ground to provide a uniform texture and appearance. Unlike bark or wood-based mulches, it can also provide some plant available nutrients. Lincolnshire Organic Mulch can be used in flowerbeds, food gardens and around trees and shrubs. It is also excellent for managing sloped areas. Aside from providing an attractive appearance, it creates a ‘mat’ that resists movement. Therefore, it doesn’t readily migrate (float away) during rain storms. Lincolnshire Organic Pine Bark Mulch – is a grind of pure aged pine bark for use in areas where a higher valued decorative appearance is required.
