What MPG formats can PowerPoint play?
Thanks to PowerPoint MVP (and multimedia guru) Austin Myers for this one: • • Mpeg-1 can be used freely, (as long as it meets the redbook specifications) • Mpeg-2 requires that you install a DVD decoder (codec) as DVD codecs do NOT come with Windows. • Mpeg-4 (or later) can not be used in its native form in PowerPoint and you will need to convert it. For all the multimedia details you and PowerPoint can handle, visit The Myers Multimedia Tutorial on Austin’s site.
