What mouthpiece should I get for jazz saxophone?

I want to get a metal jazz mouthpiece for my alto saxophone. If someone could suggest one for around 100, 150, and 200 that would be great! Thanks. Don’t be so quick to rule out hard rubber. There are many hard rubber pieces that can get a great jazz tone. As for metal, it’s not all that popular for altos. Definitely try out a few facings of Otto Links. Also try out Dukoff or two. As for Hard Rubber, Meyer is pretty good, and Vandoren makes good pieces. Whatever you do, try out as many different ones as you can (I recommend going to a nearby store with the best selection). Develop a process and use the same reed to test tone, evenness throughout the registers, ease of attack, ease of altissimo, and flexibility. Pick the one that is best in all the categories. You may find that some cheaper ones play much better than the more expensive, metal ones, and if that is the case, go for it! Everyone is different and finding the best mouthpiece is a process of trial and error. Swollen reed on s
