What mouse devices does 3D Stereo support?
We do not provide software-specific support for all 3D mouse devices. However, all of the functionality of the 3D interface is available through keyboard shortcuts, including Function Keys and other assigned functions such as PageUp, Esc, Space, etc. So, as long as the device has a Microsoft driver that supports mapping of various keys or functions to the buttons on the device, it will probably work fine (some mouse devices don’t conform to Windows mouse functions, even though they have a Windows driver). For example, I have a 5 button mouse with wheel, to which I have mapped the additional functions of Esc key for toggling cursors and the Snap to Ground for cursor navigation. Supporting individual hardware devices specifically would mean building individual drivers for each device. The drivers are significantly different, making this a nearly impossible task. Our approach is to allow the user to make a personal selection of the mouse device, and do custom function mapping.
