This gets very difficult… In most states of Australia here’s what we know: • Wheels can be increased by a maximum of 1″ rolling diameter over the largest factory size sold in this market. This means 17″ is the biggest wheel you can legally fit to an S14 or S15 without an Engineer’s Certificate • Wheels and tyres must not protrude beyond the edge of the guard. Guard rolling or lip modification may require re-certification in some states. • Exhaust systems must retain the catalytic converter (if originally fitted). • Changes to any system must meet Chemical and Noise emissions laws. (Most imported exhausts will fail on noise alone) • Body kits are largely free, provided • They do not decrease the ground clearance beyond acceptable limits • No part of any spoiler extends beyond the main body of the vehicle. “GT-Wing” owners, be very careful there! • Air Power Systems have advised us their JR kits for the S15 meet all Australian Design Rules.
