Enrolled students may ride the municipal bus system (CATS) and the student shuttle (Trolley) for free by presenting a CSU Chico ID card. Buses have racks to carry bicycles. Chico is served by Greyhound bus line and Amtrak trains. United Express provides air service. Chico Municipal Airport is within ten minutes of the university.
