What model Volvos can be converted?
We currently offer kits and in-house installation for 200, 700, and 940 series sedans, wagons, and coupes. • Is one model easier to convert than others? No, the ease of installation is about the same for all models. Choose a car with the body style, color, and options you prefer. • What transmission is used? The Ford transmission is used for both auto and manual transmission conversions and the Volvo transmission setup does not limit the choice. • My car is an automatic now. Can I put in a Ford 5-speed? Yes, you can end up with either a manual or automatic transmission in your converted Volvo regardless of the transmission it was originally built with. • Does the extra weight change the handling? On average, one hundred pounds is added to the Volvo, which doesn’t adversely affect every day handling or braking.
