What milestones has Quality Cabinets reached in terms of helping the environment?
• Recycling We recycle 50,000 tons of wood byproducts annually to fuel facilities and for heating our plants. This is the equivalent to eliminating 5,000 waste containers, and enables us to rely less on coal and natural gas to power our facilities. We also collect our wood shavings for reuse as animal bedding and composition wood products. • Energy Efficiency We host numerous events (Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance, Six Sigma) to improve overall manufacturing efficiencies. Weve reduced our CO2 emissions by 350 tons or the equivalent of removing 58 cars per year from the road.
