All of the jobs on a dairy farm need to be done every day, no matter what the circumstances. Whether it’s a holiday, snowstorm or flood, the cows need to be milked and fed. What community activities are you involved in? Ohio Dairy Producers Association Board Past member of the local school board for 12 years. Volunteer firefighter, and we’re very active in our church. What do you find most rewarding about being a dairy farmer? I enjoy the challenge and the knowledge that I’m converting natural resources to food for my family and others. Sunlight, water and land are used to raise feed for our cows. Then, an environment is provided where our cows can best utilize fresh water and the feed we have grown to produce high-quality milk.
