What might cause “choppy” video or sound?
The video and sound quality you experience with TwinSpiresTV depends mostly on your internet connection speed and your computer’s ability to render high quality graphics. Your internet connection speed can vary considerably depending on a number of factors: the time of day, your internet service provider, the activity of others on your home or office network, etc. When TwinSpiresTV first launches, it measures the speed of the internet connection from your computer to the video server. It then selects the optimum video resolution based on the results of this speed test. Sometimes, however, the selected video resolution may require a faster connection than what can be sustained over time by your computer and internet connection. In such instances, “choppy” video or sound may be experienced. To minimize such occurrences, TwinSpiresTV has recently added the capability for users to modify the video speed.
