What might be the present-day reactions to the artistic style called rococo?
Well I don’t know about the scientific revolution ; when it was supposed to have started or stopped (seems to me it is on-going) but styles like rococo, arte neuveau, provincial, etc. are usually short-lived fads for design of furniture , architecture, and common household objects. Very often these styles go out of favour for a while and then make a comeback later on. Rococo is like that; a rather busy style of design that is interesting at first but one gets tired of it and wants to simplify. Then one gets tired of the plain and wants to see a little flare again. And so it goes.
