What methods of online payment are currently available for customers?
Payments on our Rusoom platform can be settled using credit cards and Dubai Municipality’s e-dirham initiative. In addition, we have signed agreements with Commercial Bank of Dubai (DBD), Emirates Bank and most recently Standard Chartered Bank for the provision of direct debits. Discussions are also taking place with other banks to expand the scope of this service. A growing number of countries have launched e-service initiatives to develop their logistics industries. Which ones have been particularly successful? The most successful has probably been Singapore, which has pioneered the concept since the early 1980s and really set a precedent for other countries to follow.
