What methods of discipline does Skys the Limit use?
Sky’s the Limit uses a card system for discipline. The children are informed of the rules and procedures of Sky’s the Limit. As rules are broken, children are asked to pull a card. This consists of four colored cards that are displayed at the front door area to be seen by parents. Parents then can determine how the child’s day was based upon the color card they are on and have the opportunity to discuss with the child and teacher. Each child returns to the first color card at the beginning of the week. If a child pulls all four cards in a one week time, we will discuss with the parent ways that we can change the behavior or schedule to accomodate the child. However, if a child pulls all four cards three weeks in a row, we may ask that the parent find alternate care for the child.
