What metals form alloys?
There are many metals that form alloys. An alloy is any combination of a metal and another element. Some occur naturall y(like electrum) while others are artificially created (like steel). Bronze- Copper and Tin Electrum- Gold and Silver Brass- Copper and Zinc Sterling Silver- Silver and Copper Steel- Iron and Carbon (heat-infused) Amalgam- Mercury and any other metal(there are various types of amalgam) Magnox- Magnesium and Aluminum Duralumin- Aluminum, Manganese, Copper and Magnesium Silumin- Aluminum and Silicon Stainless Steel- Steel (Iron and Carbon), Chromium, and Nickel Cupronickel- Copper, Nickel, and Iron or Manganese Billon- Copper and Silver Pewter- Copper, Tin, and Lead Solder- Lead and Antimony The list goes on and on.
