What metal is a Genuine Samurai Sword made from?
If you notice in the old Japanese paintings, there is bright metal closest to to the sharp edge, and flat metallic triangles on the thick side of the blade. This is because the black smiths would beat the metal very thin, heat it to strengthen it, fold it diagonally (making the non-glossy triangles), hammer it out, and do it over again.
