What medications cause leg swelling?
Medication related leg edema is almost always bilateral and equal. Medications that cause leg edema include – calcium channel blockers, hydralazine, estrogen and progesterone, NSAIDs (ibuprofen), COX2 inhibitors, clonidine, minoxidil, cilostazol, gabapentin and glucocorticoids, among others. Dr. Karamanoukian will go over your list of medications at the time of consultation to see if you are on any medications that cause leg swelling.
