What medications are safe or not safe during pregnancy?

You should NOT take any ASPIRIN, IBUPROFEN OR NAPROXEN SODIUM unless specifically directed by your obstetrical practitioner or nursing staff. The following are examples (not a complete list): Common brand names that contain aspirin are: Anacin, Aspergum, Bayer, Ecotrin, Empirin, Excedrin Common brand names that contain ibuprofen are: Advil and Motrin Common brand names that contain naproxen sodium are: Aleve, Nuprin, and Anaprox Routine X-Rays should also be avoided during pregnancy.
