Family members of an RC member ordered to active duty for 31 consecutive days or more are eligible for TRICARE benefits on the first day of the sponsor’s order to active duty. The Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) reflects a family member’s eligibility for TRICARE benefits. TRICARE Standard and TRICARE Extra have cost-shares (20% or 15% depending on whether a network provider is selected) and annual $50 to $300 deductibles depending on the rank of the sponsor and number of covered family members. Family members may also be eligible for the TRICARE Prime Remote For Active Duty Family Members (TPRADFM). TPRADFM requires enrollment and may be available to RC families of mobilized/activated RC members if they meet the following criteria: (1) The sponsor must be ordered to active duty for 31 consecutive days or more.
