A. Major hospitals are located in Kealakekua and Waimea as well as Honoka’a and Hilo. UrgentCare in Keauhou Shopping Center is highly recommended for emergencies. They are open 9am-9pm, 7 days a week and a good alternative to the hospital emergency room. There is another emergency facility across from the Crossroads Shopping Center, where Walmart and Safeway are. Specialists in most fields are available on the Island.
