If you liked sausage or hamburger when you were still a carnivore, try flavored TVP granules (or spice up plain Textured Vegetable Protein with your own favorite spices). If you were a pepperoni fan, there are a number of pepperoni flavored (and shaped) substitutes. Likewise, bacon or ham. Morningstar Farms, Bocca Foods, Loma Linda, Worthington Foods and many others make an incredible variety of sausage, burgers, hotdogs, ham (try Worthington’s WHAM – it is great), bacon and chicken analogs. The list is practically endless these days. About the only thing still to be well faked is fish and seafood. (Morning Star Farms bought out “Tuno”, a tuna sub – then abruptly discontinued the product. I personally do not think it tasted anything like tuna, so I wasn’t too upset.)
