What measures will OGS take to protect the environment during and after construction?
OGS’ construction and operation will be governed by strict state and federal environmental regulations. Routing the pipeline near existing utility rights of way reduces the need to clear previously undisturbed land. Where clearing does occur, we will work to minimize any impact to sensitive environmental areas. After the pipeline is in operation, we will continue to adhere to the requirements of environmental permits, including monitoring the pipe at all times to be sure it is operated in a safe manner.
