What measures should be taken to prepare the subfloor?

0

The subfloor should be clean, dry and even. Any dust or dirt present will affect the adhesion of the tiles to the subfloor. New screeds and slabs should be given plenty of time to dry – see individual adhesive manufacturers instructions for details of their moisture level requirements. If the subfloor is uneven it should be made level with either a screed or some sheets of plyboard because the tiles are thin and flexible they will show up any bumps or dips in the subfloor.
