What measures are in place to ensure the safety of the children?
“Working with children checks” are now mandatory in most States and Territories in Australia, and these checks are working to provide a safer environment for children in child care. Some child care centres may choose to have police checks done as an extra precaution but it is not compulsory in every State (except South Australia) as volunteers work under constant supervision.
