The Grande Remise activity is strictly regulated by French Laws. It consists in providing transportation with luxury vehicles and driver. Service must be pre-booked, ie it is strictly forbidden to hire a Grande Remise car down the street as we would do with a taxi. For a guest, hiring a Grande Remise car means that the service can be provided anywhere in France and also that the driver has a Grande Remise driving license. It also means that the guest gets untlimited insurance warranty. Grande Remise companies depend from the Tourism Ministere on top of Prefecture de Police, which means Grande Remise companies must have customer service. Other transportation companies without the Grande Remise license have no need of a real customer service. Grande Remise drivers have a special driving license. Other transportation companies (the ones without the Grande Remise authorization) drivers’ have “normal” driving license.
