What MBA courses can be waived? What can be done to waive MBA courses?
The only courses able to be waived in the MBA program are the Foundation Skills. At most, 15 credit hours can be waived for incoming students. Upper level MBA courses cannot be waived in the MBA program. Courses may be waived in two ways: – If the courses taken at the undergraduate level are less than 5 years old and if a grade of “B” or higher was achieved in the course, the corresponding Foundation Skill course will be waived. – Students may test out of foundation skill courses. A study sheet is provided for the waiver exam. The student completes the waiver exam application and arranges a testing time. The waiver exam costs $50. If the student passes the waiver exam, the corresponding course is waived. If the student does not pass the waiver exam, the course must be taken.
