What Materials Will I Need To Install Laminate Flooring?

1. Laminate Flooring- Remember to add 5% for waste when ordering 2. Quarter round 3. If the laminate floor doesnt have the pad attached to it you’ll need a roll or two of that. (Most rolls cover 100 sq ft.) You can choose the white roll, which is the cheapest one. But the Blue roll of pad is better for sound (you dont get as much hollow sound from the floor) 4. Installation Kit. (Very important) Comes with the spacers that your need to maintain a 1/4 gap around the walls, the tap block for banging the pieces together. And a pry bar. I dont care if this laminate floor is the snap & lock kind, you still need this kit. 5. Small tube of color matched touch up caulk 6. Back saw for cutting under the door jams (if applicable) 7. Duck Tape (makes life much easier). You need to tape the corners of the underlayment down so it doesnt roll back up on you. 8. Table saw- I find a portable table saw is much easier to use than a miter box for installing this floor. You can make rip cuts and cross cut
