What materials are needed for lessons?
1. Music books – These may be method books, which take a beginning student step by step from simple note reading to more complex pieces; or sheet music, books of popular pieces, major classical compositions, etc. 2. Assignment book – usually a spiral notebook, where the student’s weekly assignments, teacher comments, and other information is written. 3. A good attitude, with a desire to play today’s pieces as best as possible, so you can learn something new and even more fun. 4. And, it almost goes without saying, an instrument to practice on.
