What material is the poster frame made out of?

It really depends on what model or sku number poster frame you buy. Typical materials include; wood, aluminum and acrylic. “CH” and “WMPH” series plastic frames are made from premium grade “non glare acrylic”. Acrylic is the generic name, with brand names such as plexiglass, Lucite, acrylite. We use a “non-glare” acrylic versus a true clear picture frame acrylic, as it eliminates excessive glare when viewing posters from a distance. The non-glare is fabricated with a very subtle matte frosting on the surface of the acrylic, but designed so that fine print can still be read clearly. One caveat is that your poster must be tucked right up to the under-side of the glass for the system to work, if there is a large space (air gap) between the inside of the acrylic and your poster some clarity can be lost. This is not an issue with our “CH” and “WMPH” series as these units are fabricated with front and back panels of the poster frame flush to each other.
