What material is a better choice for the walls and base (fiberglass or acrylic) for strength and longevity?

Answer Acrylic is the much better material, but it costs 2-3 times more then fiberglass. Don’t get me wrong, fiberglass is strong enough to last for 50 years in most houses. Depending on your room, you can get remodel style units that come in two pieces; One piece is the floor and up the walls about a foot, and the second piece is the rest of the walls. Hopefully that helps.
