What Malady Did Rodney Dangerfield Say His Mother Suffered From, “After” He Was Born?
Rodney Dangerfield born on November 22nd, 1921, was a well known American comedian and actor, best remembered for his line “I get no respect” and his monologues on that subject. He once famously said that his mother started suffering from “morning sickness” once he was born. He had as tough childhood because his father was never around and his mother “brought him up all wrong”. As a teenager he got his first break, writing jokes for standup comedians. He struggled fiscally for nine long years, and at one point working as a singing waiter. He shot to fame with his trademark line ‘I get no respect” which was inspired by the 1972 movie The Godfather. With his image recognized, Dangerfield started headlining shows in Las Vegas and made quiet a few appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show and The Dead Martin Show.
