What makes wind energy appealing to customers?
I’m a big fan of wind and I’m a big fan of solar as well. It’s just a matter of using all sorts of different energies because different locations have different energies that work better—at different times of day as well. The sun might be good in the middle of the day, but it’s not going to help you much in the middle of the night. I like wind because it’s quite affordable. The American Wind Energy Association says that it costs about 40 percent [of] that of solar. It’s a pretty cost effective renewable energy. Another metric I find telling is the footprint. Our 4kW wind turbine has a footprint of 80 square feet. 4kW of solar panels is approximately 800 square feet. Also, it’s just about everywhere. Whether you’re in an urban environment or your own plains, there’s usually some wind that you can harvest to make energy from. What makes Urban Green Energy stand out as a wind energy provider? I think it definitely starts with the product. We have the leading vertical axis wind turbine in
