What makes us different/better than a typical RO system (other than no wasteful water)?
Most Household RO systems are point of use type systems (POU) the typical household RO system is highly inefficient and wastes significant volumes of water. Typically the waste volumes of a household POU RO system is about 2.2 gallons of waste volumes of water generated for every gallon of filtered water. In addition, the typical household POU RO systems requires periodic filter replacement which can get costly. Whole house RO systems offer higher efficiencies of water production than the POU type RO systems. A high quality whole house RO system can achieve about 75% efficiency. That is to say for every 100 gallons of water produced, about 25 gallons of water is wasted. Some drawbacks to whole house RO systems include high initial cost, maintenance, waste volume disposal and treated water storage and re-pumping to achieve adequate household pressures. Of particular importance is the waste volume disposal and storage and re-pumping. Since whole house RO systems significantly reduce wate
