The four-year Modern Dance degree program at the University of the Arts will help you find discipline and focus. As a Modern Dance degree candidate you will first complete the Dance Core and pass the juried Upper-Divisional Exam. As a Modern Dance major, you’ll focus on advanced technique, repertoire and composition in the area of Modern Dance and continue study in ballet or jazz dance. Graduates of UArts School of Dance have performed with such prominent companies as: • Momix • PHILADANCO • Cirque de Soleil • River North Dance Company Others teach dance, pursue advanced degrees, choreograph or establish their own companies.
