The Power Touch control uses power line communications that can not be effected by outside interference such as garage door openers and wireless networks. Normal radio frequency control are usually effected. There is also no antenna need for operation of this control. Power line is proven technology used in utility products available from GE, ABB, Dimat and Hunt. Power Touch uses existing wiring to communicate with the desired ceiling fan.
