What makes the Lodge different from a visit to Denali National Park?

0

Although the lodge is surrounded by habitat similar to that in Denali National Park, wildlife is less abundant at our lodge than in the park. The protection the National Park provides the wildlife just can’t be matched in other parts of the wilderness areas. This is why we hope all our guests will have at least one day to spend inside the park on a tour. The flip side of this however, is the park has very limited access to the average visitor and with every passing summer – growing crowds. The park has over 300,000 visitors a year up the Park Road alone in about 4 months. The Lodge, in comparison, is located within 1.2 million acres of roadless wilderness and we hold a maximum of 4000 visitors per summer. There really are no roads to the real Alaska.
