What makes The Limnologist and The Oceanographer Difficult?
Both achievements require a large number of different named fish to be caught (see Cataclysm Fishing for a list). Most fish are straightforward to catch, but there are certain fish that will be more challenging: • The Limnologist: The 5 bloated fish (Bloated Catfish, Bloated Mud Snapper, Bloated Redgill, Bloated Smallfish, and Bloated Trout) were very rare (about 1/5000) prior to Cataclysm, and there is no evidence they have become more common. Each is caught in a different location, so the achievement is likely to require many thousands catches. • The Oceanographer: Aside from the Bloated Salmon (see above), The Oceanographer requires both seasonal fish to be caught: Raw Summer Bass and Winter Squid.
