The superiority of the Pentadyne GTX over other commercially available flywheel systems is clear. It is priced comparable in cost/kW, but is more compact, has higher availability and is vastly lower in cost to operate and maintain. This is mainly due to the fact that there is there is no bearing maintenance or replacement; and that there is no vacuum pump maintenance or replacement.
