What makes the conditions on my property a Health Hazard, Health Nuisance, and/or Safety Hazard?
Violations of the Cole County Environmental Protection and Safety Code fit into one of two categories: Public Health Hazard defined as— “Any condition upon real property which poses an immediate or direct hazard to human health due to due to the existence of the condition itself or due to the immediate threat of transmission of disease through insects, animals, or other means of transmission or infection.” In other words you provided a home for the disease carrier and they or it has moved into that home where they can infect those around or on that property.
