What makes THE CARBON TREE LLC any different from the other Carbon Trading Companies?
To start with we are not a lumber/paper conglomerate or carbon trading company. We do not sell tons of CO2 or carbon credits. We sell what we call OFFSETS. Q: What is an Offset? A: An OFFSET is a measurement that we came up with to try and simplify helping the planet. An OFFSET is US$1.00/tree/year. We offer two kinds of OFFSETS. Q: What are the two types of OFFSETS you offer? A: The first type of OFFSET we offer is a STANDARD OFFSET which is the most popular and costs US$7.00.It is equivalent to planting one eucalyptus tree and maintaining it for 7 years before harvesting it. The second type is a NATIVE OFFSET and costs US$30.00 which is equivalent to planting and caring for one native tree for thirty years before it is harvested. Calcultions of Offsets may vary at THE CARBON TREE LLC’s discretion i.e. the STANDARD OFFSET will always be for 7 years but it could be a combination of time to make up the seven years, it could be seven trees for one year, or thirty trees for one year for t
