What makes the Adaptec AHA-1535 different than other Adaptec SCSI controllers and what driver does it use?

0

The Adaptec AHA-1535 is an OEM controller that was created especially for Pinnacle Micro. It is virtually the same as the AHA-1540 series and therefore uses the same driver. However the AHA-1535 lacks a BIOS which disables the ability to connect a bootable SCSI hard drive to it. You can still use a SCSI hard drive with the AHA-1535, but you just cannot BOOT from it. Under DOS, the driver used for the AHA-1535 is ASPI4DOS.SYS, in Windows 95 it is AHA154X.MPD, and in Windows NT it is AHA154X.SYS.
