What makes soy wax so special?
The majority of candles on the market are made from petroleum based paraffin wax. This wax is known to emit 11 different toxins into the air when burned and is more prone to smoking and sooting. Paraffin wax burns hotter and faster meaning your candles will disappear more quickly. Since paraffin wax is a petroleum by-product it also is a non-renewable resource and contributes to further US dependence on foreign oil. Soy wax does not emit toxins while burning and produces an incredibly small amount of soot. It also burns cooler and slower meaning your candles will last longer so you can get more enjoyment from them. Soy beans are a renewable resource grown right here in the United States.
