What makes one Badger Brush more expensive than another?
Besides the grade of Badger Hair that we talked about above, it would have to do with a lot of other factors. Here’s a list of things that would affect the price: Grade of Badger Hair, length of hair, size of knot, material handle is made of, hand made or machine made, degree of handle finish, country of manufacture, import duties/taxes, volume and overhead of manufacturer, profit margins assessed by maker and middlemen, and last but not least is marketing and promotional costs. Probably forgot some here but the point is that it’s not easy to always evaluate price with quality. Usually the name brands with good reputations over many years are the fairest with pricing/quality and have enough distributors like ourselves in order that you are able to price compare between us. Competition of name brands always seems to result in fair pricing. What a country – capitalism works! So in the end – you usually get what you pay for. [Back To Top] • Why use a shaving brush?
