What makes Nationwide different from other banks or building societies?
The thing that makes Nationwide stand out from our competitors, is its mutuality. We are very dedicated to mutuality and we are committed to it long term, and I think thats reflected in the way we treat our members. We dont have shareholders, we are owned by our members and our customers, and we do try to put them first in everything we do. I think thats reflected in the long term value that they get from us, that they dont necessarily get from other banks, and in terms of the building society sector we are the biggest building society in the world. Has working with Nationwide turned out the way you expected? How has it differed? Working for Nationwide has turned out much better than I expected. I think I was surprised at the amount of opportunities I have had over the last two years, and it has opened my eyes to the amount of business functions that are within one organisation.
