What makes Midvales SALTA different from an honors program?

0

The main difference between the Midvale SALTA program and an honors program is the variety of advanced courses that Midvale offers. In most of our core classes we offer three levels of courses–a foundation level, an honors level, and an honors advanced level. Advanced courses include English 9 Honors Advanced, Algebra II or Pre-Calculus, AP Human Geography, Spanish III, German III, and French III, and Biology. We also offer a wide variety of advanced electives to meet student needs and interests. In addition, twelve faculty members have obtained further schooling to earn the state Gifted and Talented Education Endorsement. The faculty and staff are particularly sensitive to the needs of gifted and talented learners, and design their classes and curriculum around those needs.
