What makes Israel as free of intervention over Palestine as China is over Tibet?
It’s a very touchy question, but it seems that neither side is behaving itself. The Israelis should go back to the ’67 boundaries and stop treating the Palestinians like Holocaust victims. The Palestinians need to stop killing Israelis and accept Israel as a sovereign state (with ’67 borders.) The US and the rest of the world should absolutely stop giving any foreign aid whatsoever to any country in that region until they have met a schedule of predetermined benchmarks showing that they are working towards peace. Even if all those conditions were met, it seems that peace still might not succeed until there is a multilateral international intervention and occupation lasting many years. Unfortunately this is true. Letting the two sides just “kill each other off” is not a solution.
