What makes hair naturally curly?

The shape of the hair follicle itself determines what texture your hair is. For curly hair, the shape is oblong and flat. Straight hair grows out of round follicles. The shape is also determined by the chemical bonds occuring within it. I knew about the shape thing, but I can’t really explain the chemical bonds. When I was trying to justify my answer on the shape, this site said something about bonds and curly hair… http://www.plformula.com/hair_information3.htm But, know what? Some days my hair is unbelievably curly, and others it’s fairly straight (those are the good hair days, cause I hate my hair when its curly), so I don’t even know about what is up with MY hair. So I’m sure there are other things… I couldn’t find anything explaining on what other factors determine your hair type, though. Be happy with your curly hair… lol.
